Jake Terry, Class of 2004
My time at Christian Life Academy was an outstanding experience for me. I attended CLA from fifth grade through 12th grade, and my time at the school truly set the foundation for my relationship with the Lord. Many people leave high school ready to "get out into the real world," but I cherished every moment at CLA because I absolutely loved the family atmosphere at the school.
CLA means very much to me. It means life in Jesus, love in relationships, a great education and a staff of educators and professionals who truly love the students and want to see them grow in relationship with Christ.
My passion has always been for sports, and, of course, CLA has excelled in athletics throughout its existence, highlighted by boys and girls basketball titles and a baseball championship. With the education and support I received at CLA, I have been able to pursue my dream of working in athletics. I am currently employed full time in the LSU sports information department, and I have enjoyed my time there.
I know my experience and time at CLA prepared me for college at LSU and gave me an ability to chase after my professional dreams. No matter where the Lord eventually places me and my wife, I will always cherish my time at CLA and remain thankful for the great memories and Christian foundation I received.
