Coach Hatem “Hat” Bachar Christian Life has the pleasure of announcing our new Strength and Conditioning Coach, and our Head Track and Field Coach, Hatem “Hat” Bachar. Coach Hat has been at Christian Life assisting as the Boys Track and Field Coach for several years and this year will be wearing several more “hats” as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, for all athletes, Head Track and Field Coach, French I, II and Sports Medicine teacher. Coach Hat has 30 + years of experience in the field of physical and performance training and conditioning, as an elite athlete himself, a track and field coach and an Exercise Physiologist. After a successful athletic career that began with the 1984 Olympics, where he competed in the Decathlon, and won numerous national and international titles in different world venues. Bachar earned degrees from National Physical Education Institute in Tunis, Tunisia and Vincennes, Paris and the University of Kansas. In 1998 Coach Hat joined the LSU Track and Field team as an assistant coach under Coach Pat Henry. Helped coach the Men’s Sprint Group to win 4 National Championship titles from 2000 -2004, 4 Olympic Gold and multiple World Championship titles in the 4x400m relays and the 400m indoor. Several members of LSU’s National Championship Football Team benefited from Coach Hat’s program as they were a part of the Sprint Group – Devery Henderson, Skyler Green, Ronnie Prude and Bennie Brazell.
